The hormones can really play havoc with a person and their health. The more the balance is knocked off, the sicker the individual can become. Hormones can also be a major cause of acne from the stage of puberty on up to adulthood. To save time and money weeding through all the commercial products to get rid of acne, there are some simple best acne treatment options to try at home and are naturally safe.

1. Try taking an orange peel and rubbing it onto the acne. The juice from the peel needs to make the acne moist to the touch. Keep repeating the process every day, at least two to three times per day.

2. Smash a raw pumpkin up completely and rub it into the face. Allow this to set on the face for about 20 minutes. The skin will feel as though it is dry and getting stretched. Wash the face thoroughly and pat to dry with a towel. Put a coconut oil on the face. One week is recommended for this procedure. The skin will be softer and smoother and the acne will leave.

3. Take a clove of garlic and crush it. Apply the garlic only to the acne spot. The garlic is great for taking out the swelling and will help to reduce the scar that is left afterwards. Do not use near the eyes and be aware it might sting the nose.

4. Drinking at least eight glasses of water each day will help to keep the system clean and running smooth.

5. Get eight hours of sleep each night so your body can rejuvenate itself and fight off bacteria.

6. Try to Add more nutrition to your diet to include Vitamins like A, C, B, E, an a zinc supplement. These will help to fight the acne from the inside out.

7. Stress can cause acne to flair up so try to remove any stress you have in your life and learn to relax!
